During my recent romantic escape to the Hawthorn Extended Stay By Wyndham in Ellsworth, I encountered a mixed bag of experiences. The location was a major plus, with a supermarket just a quick stroll away, and it made for an easy 20-minute drive to Bar Harbor and the natural beauty of Acadia National Park. The breakfast was fairly simple, but the warmth and friendliness of staff, especially Nancy in the breakfast area, made our mornings brighter. Though we experienced some minor hiccups, like the pool needing a good scrub and the beds being just okay, the homey feel of the hotel and its proximity to local attractions made it an enjoyable stay overall. If you’re seeking a convenient hub for exploring the gorgeous northern coast while appreciating warm hospitality, this hotel might just fit the bill!
